María Elisa Camargo, a tenacious Ecuadorian actress and activist, embarked on her entertainment career by competing in The X Factor Colombia. Then, in Colombia, “Mala Yerba,” a controversial series about medical cannabis, for StarzPlay and Pantaya, and Amazon Prime musical series “A Grito Herido.” Evolving to feature films and platform series, her next step was a decisive villain role for Disney + “Champeta: El Ritmo de la Tierra.”

Her latest breakthrough role got her into the gaming universe. She played the villain in Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare II, which had record sales and popularity. Her character Valeria stirred quite an arousal in the COD community and was featured in Forbes Magazine.
