DENISE QUIÑONES
Denise Quiñones August was born in Ponce and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico. The multi-faceted artist and former Miss Universe 2001 entered the world of entertainment at an early age and has worked as an actress, singer, and dancer, among others. She has stood out in roles in prestigious musicals such as Chicago, Mamma Mia!, In the Heights, On Your Feet, and Who Killed Héctor Lavoe? In addition, she worked for 8 years at the prestigious Repertorio Español in New York, where she made her theater debut with her role in Ana en el Trópico, for which she won the ACE and HOLA award for best actress.
Likewise, she dazzled in works such as Doña Rosita the Bachelorette, Doña Flor and Her Two Husbands, The House of the Spirits, Pantaleón and the Visitors, and more. It should be noted that in Puerto Rican theater, he has also participated in works such as Five Ladies with the Same, Magnolias de Acero, Los Soles Truncos, El Hijo de P*&%a del Sombrero, and Thirty Days Without You, among others. Likewise, he has exposed his talent in multiple film projects in Puerto Rico, the United States, and the Dominican Republic.
Some films she has starred in are Las Camelias, Teacher Mechy, La Soga, Locas y Atrapadas, Pueto pa mi, Elite, Prótesis, Party Time, and Detective Willy. In addition, he acted in recognized series such as Smallville, Bedford Diaries, and Freddie. It should be noted that he also has radio experience on the Lunchbreak program under Estereotempo and La Mega on SBS (Spanish Broadcast System). In the musical field, she has an 11-track album, released in 2012 called Ruidos y Silencios, and is currently exploring her talent as a singer-songwriter. Likewise, it continues to expand its roots in different branches of entertainment.
